Tanzania is a truly breathtaking place, with 38% (42,000 sq kilometers /16,000 sq miles) of its land set aside in protected areas of conservation. Tanzania contains some 20% of the species of Africa mammal population on its 17 National parks, 29 Game Reserves and 40 Controlled Conservation Areas and Marine Parks. Wildlife resources in Tanzania are described as “without parallel in Africa” and “the prime game viewing country.” Professional Kilimanjaro Adventure (Muddy2dust Trekking and Safaris) a dedicated and fully licensed tourism company with it’s headquartered in Kilimanjaro Tanzania, provides you a full travel package to any and/or all tourism attraction locations in Tanzania. We are dedicated to ensuring your time in Tanzania is your best holiday yet.
- Ngorongoro Conservation Area
- Serengeti National Park
- Lake Manyara National Park
- Tarangire National Park
- Arusha NP
Approximately 20,000 animals take haven in ‘Africa’s Garden of Eden.’ The Ngorongoro Crater is a world heritage site, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and is commonly referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. The 2,000 feet high walls of the approximately 10-mile wide Crater form a natural amphitheater for the densest populations of large animals anywhere. The Crater is truly awe-inspiring and game viewing here is among the very best Africa has to offer.
The Serengeti is the most renowned wildlife park in the entire world. Over 10,000 sq miles of pristine wilderness play host to the Great Migration and boast the highest density of large predators, including lions, leopards and cheetahs, in the world! Grass plains, woodlands, hills, and rivers abound. The variety and abundance of wildlife here is unmatched anywhere else in Africa. The Maasai translation of ‘Serengeti’ is ‘Siringet’ which means ‘a vast land that runs forever, where endless plains meet the sky.’
At the base of the Great Rift Valley, lies Lake Manyara National Park. This scenic little park is most famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos and three species of primates. The park boasts one of the highest concentrations of elephants in Africa and is home to the largest baboon troops ever documented. More than 400 species of birds have been recorded here. With cliffs towering over 2,000 feet above the lake, it is here that the Great Rift is most dramatic.
With its remote location and thriving wildlife, Tarangire is a hidden wonder. Measuring 1,600 square miles and named for the life-giving Tarangire River that flows through its core, this is Tanzania’s fifth largest park. Most famous for its massive elephant herds and giant baobab trees, this park hosts an annual “mini-migration” of sorts and offers the perfect setting for photography. During the dry season, huge masses of animals stream into the park for its perennial water supply.
Nestled between the peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru lies Arusha Town. Next door to Kilimanjaro International Airport, the little town of Arusha is the gateway to your safari and the perfect introduction to the gracious personality of Tanzania. Shopping, cultural interactions, hiking, and sightseeing opportunities abound here. Arusha is the launch pad and closure point for a safari in Tanzania, and thus the place where one’s safari adventures both begin and end.
